Deadmau5 ft. Kaskade - “I Remember” (via Boom Boom Chik)

I’ve been meaning to talk about Deadmau5 for a while now.  I caught him about a week or two ago with Late of the Pier and the Whip at the TLA; he absolutely destroyed, as I figured he would.  He’s awesome at what he does: combining progressive minimalist techno with club banger anthems and deep house, even delving into trance (which becomes evident as Random Album Title, his full length, progresses).

This track is a perfect example; stretched to just over 9 minutes, not a second of which is wasted, his production over Kaskade’s soothing vocal melodies is a welcome blend of radio-friendly techno and more intricate house beats.  I would absolutely recommend listening to this track either while you’re working or on your way somewhere — however, to get the full effect, you’ll have to check out Random Album Title in its entirety.
