Acceptance - “In Too Far”

I’ve always been a fan of pop songs that grab you in the first hit and don’t let go.  While I certainly do appreciate gradual atmospheric or melodic buildups in songs, there’s something to be said about immediacy and instantly satisfying songwriting.

Acceptance was one of those bands that was one of my favorites in high school and college.  I’m actually genuinely surprised that Phantoms, their only full-length, is getting as much replay value now as it was back in 2005.  Somehow, they managed to make a lasting pop-rock record.  Kudos, dudes.  You’re missed.
