Common ft. Pharrell Williams - “Intro / Universal Mind Control”

This song’s backbeat is awesome, but then again I love most of Pharrell’s production endeavors.  Pretty catchy; ascending synth lines pepper the majority of the song, with some basic handclaps and tribal drums to accent.  Pharrell does the vocals in the chorus.  To be honest, I don’t really like Common’s new direction lyrically — he seems to be dumbing himself down to appease the masses — but if I pretend someone else is spitting the words on the track, I’m usually pretty good to go.  Great job Pharrell, ehh job Common.
