Foals - “Balloons”

Foals is one of those interesting dance-punk bands that sounds typical in the British dance-punk scene, yet contains a lot of elements at its core that shirks the cliche.  Their album (Antidotes) wavers in and out of that particular sound — spiky guitars, kinda-sorta yelped vocals, dance backbeats on the drums — and is therefore a little more rewarding to listen to.  It’s kind of got an interesting Minus the Bear influence in the guitar taps, and has a great TV On the Radio influence (particularly because TVOTR’s David Sitek helped produce).  Definitely worth checking out, if you haven’t already.
