The Fall Of Troy - “Mouths Like Sidewinder Missiles”

Thomas Erak of the Fall of Troy is one of those guitarists that do one of two things to me:

1) Inspire me to consistently strive to have that level of expertise and chops at the guitar.

2) Cause me to basically give up on life as a guitarist.

Either way, the riffs he comes up with are unbelievable.  For a post-emo/progressive hardcore band, his screams are pretty sincere and convincing (and are a bit more heart-tugging than his sung melodies, in my opinion).  Truly impressive talent there for such a young dude.  I remember catching TFOT with Portugal. The Man about a year or so ago (on Super Bowl Sunday, actually!) and watching Thomas engage in an improvised guitar solo duel with John Gurley of PTM.  Spellbinding, to say the least.
