The Kooks - “Eddie’s Gun” (Acoustic)

So the Kooks came out with a live package of the majority of their first album - one full-ish set from Abbey Road, and another few songs from Osaka.  They pull off stripping down the songs fairly well; especially considering the songs from the first album usually rollicked along with more force, and were a lot less direct in their pop ambience, than Konk.  Luke Pritchard’s voice is usually all over the place — even moreso live — but he keeps it really consistent during the set.

“Eddie’s Gun” is their flagship song (2nd only to “Naive”) and is ridiculous only in its lyrical content.  You’ll never hear a catchier song about erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation, I assure you.  I’m pretty sure that Luke switches a bunch of the lyrics around in the verses, but I love it all the same.
