Kanye West - “Heartless” (Remastered)

Time for me to weigh in on this.  Do I dig Kanye’s new sound?  Yep, you bet.  And here’s why: the dude never ceases to take his art and perfect it.  No matter which direction he goes down, you have to admire his zeal.  The guy’s remixed “Love Lockdown” like three times already because of fan feedback; and rather than scrap everything like people expect him to, he retools elements already in his songs and wins skeptics over.  It’s incredible.

Anyway, I enjoy this track the most so far because I dig Kanye’s verse wordplay, and I think this showcases the new sound he’s going for the best out of any leaked track.  The chorus is actually pretty catchy on its own anyway.  You can tell Ye’s been a bit embittered and depressed throughout this past year (and rightfully so) and is doing a pretty good job making it known through his beats, melancholic choruses, and lyrics.
