The Reign of Kindo - “Hard to Believe”

The Reign of Kindo was born out of former members of This Day & Age, who disbanded after their singer left before a major tour.  To be honest, I like this band even more than their previous group.  Where the former band was more soft-post-“emo”-rock, TROK writes more piano-oriented, slowish to mid-tempo songs.

Their first EP, where this track is from, goes towards a more jazzy direction.  Their full-length, which just came out in August, is more pop-driven but still sweeping and majestic in scope.  Joseph Secchiaroli’s vocals truly stand out because of his expressive, direct and strong tone.  One of those voices that make you believe what he’s singing, for sure.

This track in particular is like Dave Brubeck meets Ben Folds meets… well, you’ll see.  I haven’t been able to stop listening to these guys lately, and I hope you’ll understand why after checking this out.
