Gang Starr - You Know My Steez
Guru of the hip hop duo Gang Starr is currently in a coma after suffering from cardiac arrest. I grew up with Guru in my headphones from a youngblood to a man-child. From Gang Starr to the Jazzamatazz volumes, he always held it down for hip hop and especially for Brooklyn with that easily recognizable and undeniable raspy flow.
I’m dedicating this week to Guru posting all my favorite tracks of his and tracks he guested on. My prayers and well wishes go out to him and his family. Here’s hoping he makes it back to us.
