If Guns ‘N Roses release their imaginary album (I mean, I don’t really believe it exists, do you?) Chinese Democracy sometime in 2008, every single person in America (besides Buckethead and Slash) will receive a free can of Dr. Pepper. How fucking amazing is this?
Foster’s… Italian for beer!
– Josh, clearly remembering the correct hemisphere (let alone ethnic group) Foster’s is for
etaylor:
Thanks for this gem. Im sure Jay will appreciate it :) leann: I totally forgot I had this! Yes, its Warren singing tearin up my heart. Priceless boys!
Thanks. Sometimes we sing boy band classics. Just remind me to sing in key next time. :P
The Pipettes… I caught these chicks with Amy and my boy (as well as probably future roommate) AMP. I already blogged two of their songs on here, and their live show is pretty rad.
Also, they’re all pretty freakin hot. Maybe it’s the vocals, maybe it’s the dresses, maybe it’s the choreography and awesome cheesiness… but they’re beyond pretty faces, man....
Sweetest Tweet Ever? Man Proposes Via Twitter |... →
I’m constantly thinking of interesting ways to propose; this is weird, being that I have a paralyzing fear of commitment.
Beatles? Stones?
Jay: See, I was never a super-duper Stones fan
Jay: I mean, I'm down, I enjoy them
Jay: I appreciate them
Jay: But I'm more a Beatles guy
Mike: I am a super-duper fan of a segment of their stuff
Jay: Right
Mike: I would go so far as to say Gimme Shelter is better than nearly any individual Beatles song
Jay: A bold statement, but at those points the bands were so different
Mike: Beatles were the better pop band, Stones the better rock band. I do prefer the Beatles, but man, Gimme Shelter is one of the greatest songs ever written
Jay: Right
Jay: It's definitely in my top
Jay: It's like they were all one band, but they took different types of drugs
Jay: Stones went with hard shit like heroin
Jay: Beatles went with psychedelics and LSD
Mike Hampson: Get Craig Healy drunk and ask him which was the better band
Jay: Hahaha
Jay: Anything involving getting Craig Healy drunk I will steer FAR away from, thankyouverymuch
Mike Hampson: He's all "the fuckin Stones had their blood pumped out and replaced with pure heroin, the Beatles didn't have the balls
Every other word Johnny Drama says is ‘Thanks, bro’
– Evan, describing Entourage
Bloc Party. Nuff said, man.
Thought of the Day
rockuboff: I have a really, really hard time trusting people. Amen, sister.

Hey y’all, bloggin from work right now. Sorry about the lack of song, I’ll get around to that later tonight. Hope everyone’s day rules!

Holy crap, this is awesome.
I think I have a fan
rockuboff:
This chick’s blog has the same name as mine, and was started a month after mine! She even uses similar colors and posts similar content. Wow! Imitation really is the sincerest form of flattery And plagiarism is the sincerest form of imitation, which is the sincerest form of flattery, which… uh, right. That’s pretty weak to try and steal someone else’s personality...
...Damn, and I actually liked
…Damn, and I actually liked Spitzer, too.
Ed, it’s the hot police — they’re coming for you!
– Josh Sirulnik, after watching Ed (etaylor) doing sit-ups while we all listen to the Scissor Sisters…

Weekend Treats! This should keep you busy for a while. It’s a really nice recording of the entire Of Montreal concert in Amsterdam during November. Of Montreal is what I’ve been listening to lately, so I thought it was a fitting way to top off the week. I HIGHLY recommend “Gronlandic Edit.” How they pulled off those harmonies so effing well is just… awesome.
