Obligatory Chart #2: Top 25 Tracks of 2008
The way I did this was essentially sort my playlist down to my 50 most played songs (to give me some room for subjectivity; just because I played it a lot doesn’t necessarily mean I thought it was the best of the year, and vice versa). From there I whittled it down manually to my top 25. So… here we go!
1) MGMT - “Electric Feel” (Justice Remix)
2) Cut Copy - “Out...

Hey! Took me slightly less than a year, but I finally got 100 followers! Thanks to vivresavie for being #100. Pretty ill, for sure.
I don’t know why half you people read this (or at least pretend to), but I’m happy you do. Thanks again!
Obligatory Chart #1: Top 25 Albums of 2008
I’m relatively satisfied with the albums and their respective positions this list, even though there are about 10 albums I’d wish I’d gotten to listen to a bit more that might’ve cracked it or moved up or down on it.
Top tracks list coming soon. Until then, here you go! PLEASE feel free to agree, disagree, agree to disagree, or simply not care.

Last.fm’s Top 10 tracks of 2008 are made up of:
1) Songs from Viva la Vida. 2) Songs from Oracular Spectacular. 3) That Katy Perry song. You know, that one.
I have heard, whether intentionally or not, these ten songs, a grand total of 0.5 times collectively. I say 0.5 only because there’s a possibility that the one MGMT song I’ve heard was on the list. Maybe.
I find this somewhat...

Random survey: Do you wear cologne/perfume every day?
Apparently, this is the norm. My co-workers all do, and they all were suprised to hear that I don’t. I think it’s ridiculous, personally. I smell fine [right?].
I’m ABSOLUTELY paranoid about smelling badly, so I use it every day. I’ve been doing so since high school, actually.

I had this crazy experience where I was climbing Everest and all of a sudden...
– Alex Brown… well, being Alex Brown (via thedco)
Leave it to A-Brown to confuse his facts. Anyone who’s anyone knows that shit was Mount Vesuvius, and Hansel was smoking peyote.
JV: Music blogger, fo realz.
I was just offered a “Trial Contributor” position over at Fantastic Weapon, a most excellent music blog. So eventually (hopefully, assuming they like my shit) you’ll start to see some of my in-depth thoughts about the world of music on a somewhat-more regular basis!
Stoked.
